Description
Collective Arts Brewing is a grassroots craft brewery that aims to fuse the creativity of craft beer with the inspired talents of emerging artists and musicians. Collective Arts Brewing was founded on two beliefs: The first that creativity fosters creativity. And the second, that creativity yields delicious pints. We feature limited-edition works of art on our beer cans and labels, and we work to make sure the liquid on the inside is as diverse and creative as the artists we profile. Our brewery is located in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada. This is where we brew everything from our flagship IPA Ransack the Universe to our World Beer Cup-winning Stranger than Fiction porter. In our taproom we pour up to 10 different beers at one time, samples and flights, we host brewery tours and live entertainment weekly. Stop by to see our beer bottle gallery showcasing every artist we’ve worked with over the past 6 years.

Slightly hazy, light-yellow colour with a white head, good stay and some foamy lace. Great aromas of hops with some grass and even coriander. The taste unfortunatly is quite mild with the hops. Very light bitterness. Does what a mild Session IPA should do. Lots of other Session IPA that are punchier out there.

This iOS poured a deep black colour with a nice creamy tan head. Scents include grass, smoke, molasses and Melloids. First swig was nice and toasty with a great amount of grassy hop flavour. Finish is burnt and the medium bitterness lingers.

Can: Poured a bright orangey color ale with a large foamy head with good retention and some lacing. Aroma of citrusy and floral hops notes with some light residual sugar notes is quite pleasant. Taste is a nice mix of citrusy hops with floral undertones some residual sugar and some cereal notes. Body is quite full with good carbonation. Solid IPA with well restrained bitterness.

Pours a lightly hazed golden colour with a little amber hue. Big creamy, off-white head that stays a long time with thick foamy lace. Some regular IPA aromas of citrus (grapefruit zest) but with a twist - some pineapple juices. The taste has some decent hop bitterness with the citrus in the finish, some orange notes and other tropical fruits. The sweet pineapples are not so found in the mouth. A nice dry grassy taste lingers. Interesting IPA from an interesting brewery.

what a beautifully balanced beer this is, packed with malt and hops and hiding its 6.8% alcohol with ease. It has aromas of chocolate, coffee, bread, grapefruit, lemon, cherry and marshmallow. The flavours are similar with the grapefruit and roasted coffee dominating at the end. Brilliant.

(On tap @ Lansdowne Brewery, Jan 12 2016) Pours hazy dark orange with a small dense white head and lace. Aroma is bright and fruity hops with a mix of citrus peels, mango, lychee, grassy. Light caramel sweetness. Semisweet caramel base on the palate, lots of grapefruit peel and underripe mango, grassy, red berry hints, some bitter pith. Finish is getting pretty bitter with citrus, gooseberry and mango. Medium bodied with medium high carb. Nice hop character here, I really enjoyed this more than expected. Very fresh.
