Bottle from the brewery, thanks to Mike. Roasty, umami nose, chocolate, coffee, nuts, a touch of soy and some grape as well. A bit salty as well. Quite rich. Black with lace. Nicely malty and roasted. Coffee, chocolate, soy, nuts. Full-flavored, good full body, right amount of sweetness. Dry finish. Well done stout.

On draught at the Hyogo Beer Oktoberfest in Kobe. Coudy, light yellow color. Light body and flavor, slightly sour balanced by a strong, slightly cake-like sweetness. Refreshing and light, with good balance, but lacking in distinction.

On draught at the Hyogo Beer Oktoberfest in Kobe. Cloudy, bright gold. Buttery, malty aroma with lots of hops as well. Decent malt flavor, some butter, and good hops all the way through. Long-lasting hoppy finish. Crisp and tasty, very well done.

On draught at the Hyogo Beer Oktoberfest in Kobe. Malt-centered, rather sweet version with lots of caramel and lightish hopping. Very fruity, with cherries and other dark fruits. Good malt, but hops are too light. Nice enough, but a punch is really lacking.

On draught at the Hyogo Beer Oktoberfest in Kobe. Somewhat faint but nice aroma of amber malts, caramel, cascade hops. Smooth, fresh flavor, good amber malts and caramel. Excellent balance, with good hopping. Refreshing, highly drinkable. Flavor is smooth and consistent, no outstanding elements but really solid and nicely put together.
