Pale, a bit dullish, medium head, aroma is obviously Dag with light sauternes, rounded, mellow, solid sauternes, still wish for more of a buggy/botrytis character but this is better than the one last year.

Dark, thick head, rich dark sugars, some bourbon, soft body, good barrel integration on this.

Soft, amber-brown colour, has some caramel-toast, lighy acetic, a bit of wood, fits the style but doesn’t have any standout elements.

Hazy pale, yeasty, lightly sweet, hint of pears. Decent but as usual the brett hasn’t kicked in nearly enough maybe this will be the year I age one of these.

Pale orangey-pink and hazy, light cherry, brett, well balanced, clean mild cherry, touch yeasty. Excellent.

355 ml can. Pours a very dark brown with moderate tan head that settles quickly. Aromas of cocoa powder, dark vanilla, and rich roasty malts, with just a hint of bourbon. Flavors of dry roasted malts, bitter dark chocolate and bourbon alcohol. Warm finish. Overall lacking a nice bourbon flavor and/or sweetness, but a good effort. Appreciate the small can for the ABV!

Slight haze, pale amber, pours with a thick head. Aroma is clean. There’s some gentle malt, biscuit sure, but the stupid sparkler or whatever gimmick pour they use here embarrasses both breweries and kneecaps the complexity of the beer.

Bright gold, medium head. Light body, mild pale malt, clean herbaceous hop with just a touch of bitterness in the finish. Grandpa beer done well.

On tap at Dageraad, pours a cloudy dark amber brown with a small beige head. Aroma has a nice dark cherry character, gentle oakiness, and light balsamic. Flavour is complex, with dark cherries, moderate acidity, balsamic notes, and a touch of brown sugar. Good balance of the sugars with the acetonic notes. Complex and well-constructed. Excellent.
