Light brown. Thin head. The aroma is a bit odd - sort of vinous and woody, but very sweet on the palate. You get this really heavy barley wine sweetness, not balanced by much, even though it’s quite woody. The vinous character fades down a little bit, but really there’s not much semblance of balance to this.

650mL bottle, pours a deep dark mahogany with a small beige head. Aroma brings out a little butter, some caramel and toasted caramel bready malt. Flavour brings out caramel, bready malt and a little butter. Not totally infected, but this is about as shitty a barley wine as you could make without being infected. No good.roasty,

650 ml bottle. Pours a dark red/mahogany with moderate head. Aromas of vinous wood, dark tart berries, brown sugar, and a little alcohol. Flavors of sweet sugary malts conflicting with acidic vinous wood. Acrid finish.

Hazy, light, blonde. Thin head. There is a lot of coffee on the nose, fresh pale malt character, too. On its own, the nose isn’t bad for the type of beer they made. I have misgivings about wasting great Ethiopian coffee when none of the Ethiopian character comes out in the finished product. Mostly coffee on the palate, with again a pale malt note, though that comes across a bit doughy here. Again, the coffee has limited nuance, which is a shame. So you have as advertised -

650mL bottle, pours a hazy pale golden blonde with a small white head. Aroma brings out subdued espresso beans, a herbaceous quality, and bready notes. Flavour is pretty muted, with earthy espresso, bready malt and cardboard. Leaves a lot to be desired. Cardboardy, with an earthy, stale coffee finish. Not impressive.

650mL bottle, pours a deep dark mahogany with a small beige head. Aroma brings out lots of balsamic vinegar and tart red fruits. Flavour is pretty shallow, with balsamic vinegar, tart red fruits and a little wood. Pretty thin palate without much depth, but pleasant enough.

Amber color, clean. Delicate aroma, biscuity and cereally malts, elegant, very nice. The flavor has similar profile, but not as elegant and deep, it has s very light acidity, and some roastiness, darker caramel (from the stones).
Nice beer, but no elevation.

Hazy golden color with compact head. Tiny traces of cereals, the mouthfeel is rather dry, it has strong bitterness, but little hop quality in aroma (6+) and flavor (5.5); traces of manure in the aroma; the flavor is also slightly sour and vegetable, this is less appreciated.
In the end, pointless creation, mediocre beer (drinkable), and no fresh hop character.
