Nice stuff. Good fruity but resinous hops. Pine maybe too. Bit dank but that light caramel thing in there too. Like it!

Bottle from Yamaoka. Very rich buckwheat nose, nutty as hell, grainy, light citrus and esters. The buckwheat comes out beautifully there. Hazy golden orange with a tall, fine head. Nutty flavor, estery, malty, buckwheat with orange, peach, dark chocolate, walnuts, wow. I have had a few soba / buckwheat beers before, but this one blows them all away with the boldness and depth of the buckwheat flavor. Not gimmicky at all. Luscious stuff. Light but persistent carbonation, medium, silky body. Surprisingly excellent.

9oz at Popeye, pours a pulpy orange, little bit of white head. Nose has berries and cream, melon, mango. Flavor follows. Creamy finish. A decent enough attempt. 7 3 7 3 13

9oz pour at Popeye, pours a murky orange with a ring of white head. Nose has perfume, melon, rotting papaya, honey. Flavor is the same, a bit of a rip off, would feel poorly produced in the US market. Finishes lightly creamy. 6 3 6 3 12

9oz pour at Popeye. Pours a clear, dark gold with a ring of white head. Nose is old school west coast, malt, pine, pith. Flavor follows. Full bodied, sticky and bitter. SD boys would be proud. 7 3 7 3 12

Marker pen, soy sauce, nice though. If perhaps a little underwhelming. Tobacco

Nice. Lots of apple but hoppy feeling too. Good stuff. Easy drinking.
