On tap at Popeye’s. Pours dark brown with small tan to light brown head. Roasted malts, chocolate, vanilla, nuts, maybe a bit lactic. Medium bodied, quite light for the style but also easy drinkable.

Slight haze, amber, thin head. Sweet, lots of malt, has some chewy crystal malt and bitterness. Not much for bright hops tho.

Toasty nose. Light brown colour. This has a toasty character, light chewiness to the dark malts, moderate hop bitterness.

Refreshing. Has a light wheaty character. Doesn’t smell very clean but is cleaner and brighter on the palate.

On tap at Popeye’s. Late fall brown ale 5% 26 IBU A purple brown with a big malty biscuit and earthy pepper aroma. Medium bodied and smooth. The taste is bitter biscuity malts, light caramel and pepper. Simple but well done for all that.

On tap at Popeye’s. First Strange Brewing beer I had. A deep brown/black with red highlights served in a massive snifter, the aroma was savoury chocolate fudge and fruits. Med-light bodied. The taste is tangy fudge, a little nutty and tart with some boozy heat going down. Alright but needs to keep improving. As it stands it is like a better than average homebrew.

On tap at Popeye’s. Golden slumbers pale ale 20 IBU 5.5% a cloudy honey gold. The nose is fruity bitter hops but somewhat mild. Medium-light bodied with a zesty mouthfeel. The light bitting citrus hops and biscuity malts are very well balanced. Fruity and sweet - good.
