At the pub: Pours light brown. Aroma is dark fruit, candy sugar, with some light hops. Taste is much the same. It is a bit on the sweet side, but not overly so. The warrior hops add a nice touch in the finish. It is pretty nicely balanced. It wasn’t bad.

At the brewpub: Pours orange with a white head. Aroma is not so bad. Loads of malts, light hops, and some sugar. The flavor profile was not that massive. Taste was too sweet for my liking. Didn’t really have too much complexity. Alcohol was well covered though. Easy to drink for a barley wine, but otherwise very much not remarkable.

At the brewpub: Wow, this is a wacky beer. It pours golden with a white head. Aroma is a lot of smoke, tea, and lemon. It smells more like a smoky cocktail than it does a beer. Indeed, it also tastes more like a smoky cocktail than it does like beer. The smoke is certainly powerful and persistent, especially considering that the malts themselves were not smoked. Lemon is there is good form. Weird and good. Never had anything like it.

At the brewpub: Pours a pale yellow with a white head. Aroma is lemon, farmhouse funk, and a light hoppiness. Taste is plenty lemon, plenty funk. Lightly bitter. Surprisingly balanced in its cacophonous flavor profile. Weird, but the Smoked version of this was weirder.

At the brewpub: Pours looks like that of a stout or porter. Aroma is chocolate, citrus, and yeast. Taste is roasted malts, chocolate, sorachi ace hops, and some Belgian yeast. Easy to drink. Not bad, but one of the less interesting beers I had there that day.

At the brewpub: Well, this is a strange one. It pours a murky brown body with an off-white head. Aroma is English malts, fruits, and spice. Taste has some fruits... though I can’t say I pinpointed guava straight up. The sea salt makes its presence known around the finish. Nice and spicy. Big mouthfeel. Interesting.

At the brewpub: Pours golden with a white head. Nice light subtle funk, with similarly light and subtle hops. Lemon and other citrus is there in good measure. Subtle funk. Nice soft mouthfeel. I enjoyed this a lot.

Tap at the brewpub. Cloudy, pale yellow, lace. Wheat cracker nose, very lemony, some orange. Rather sweet flavor, lemony, a bit of yogurt. Ok, but a bit too much runaway lemon. Light and crisp.

Tap at the brewpub. Orange-brown with lace. Nose of chocolate, caramel, soy sauce, raisins, figs. A bit spicy. Low carbonation. Decent flavors, dry finish. Great hoppy nose.

Tap at the brewpub. Cloudy gold, some orange tints, lacy, lots of effervescence. Candy lemon nose, wheat, creamy, grassy. Rich, strange flavor, bread, berries, candy. Lest nice of the 6 I had here.
