A fluffy, well lace white head on an appealing orange/amber body. Nose features fresh but understated citrus fruit and caramel malt. A really nice East coast IPA. Fresh grapefruit rind, pine, citrus fruit, caramel, sweet malt and a touch of pepper. A bit bitter taste balanced by solid malt and plus carbonation. Another Pit Caribou quality offering.

A powerhouse pale ale. The nose is explosive hops - both earthy and grapefruit - with a touch of pepper. It has a hazy off-orange colour and a fluffy with head with significant lacing. This is incredibly hoppy for a pale ale. Juicy citrus hops blend with kiwi and other tropical tastes; exactly the taste you would hope for with Citra, Simcoe and Galaxy hops. It is slightly spicy and peppery underneath. Pit Caribou is a rising star in Quebec brewing.

Taking Brown Ales to a new place! The nose is powerful, featuring a touch of booze, roasted malt and hoppiness. An amazing rich and complex taste profile -- Deep roasted caramel malt, dark chocolate, a heavy undercurrent of hops with hints of dark berries and roasted almonds. And all well blended and smooth. Way beyond your standard Brown Ale!

A very interesting creation with apparent craftsmanship. The head is quite fizzy and disappears quickly. The nose features coffee first with a hint of sourness. The taste profile leads with a refreshing sourness supported by coffee which grows from an initial bitterness to a richer, creamier flavour as the taste settles in. Hints of roasted nuts and ripe cherries help build complexity. The beer stays in balance to the end and is nicely supported by a strong effervescence. What will they think of next?

One-year-old bottle. Nose is of biscuity malt with a roasty edge, smokiness, and a touch of floral hops. A very frothy off-white head. The taste is relatively subtle, featuring the same biscuity malt, caramel, vegetables and English-style and floral hops. A skillfully understated smoke element is well integrated. A very soft mouth feel is accentuated by a healthy carbonation. Alcohol is well concealed. Good balance with a slight bitter edge emerging in the aftertaste.

Caramel, Slightly astringent hops and malt in the nose. A strong, off-white head on a rich, orange brown body. This beer has blended nicely with some aging. Substantial hops mix well with a spicy malt and caramel backbone with a nice touch of rich booziness. A nice change of pace from fruity west coast imperials. Definitely a sipper.

Flight shared with Jacob and Peter on an extra day after our own „flight“ went on strike. Black with a creamy, beige head. Aroma full of oak and vanilla. Bitter with strong roasted tones. Faint plum, both on the nose and in a hint of tartness. Body to the full side of medium, mild carbonation. Really enjoyed this one.

Flight shared with Jacob and Peter on an extra day after our own „flight“ went on strike. Pale gold with a frothy, white head. Citrus, mango and fruit candy aroma. A touch dank. Mildly sweet up front, then bitter at the finish. Medium bodied, moderate carbonation. Well rounded. The alcohol is so hidden is actually refreshing. Good.

Purplish with a faint, thin head. Plum and plum juice aroma. Sweet and cloying. A bit like fermented plum juice. Wears out its welcome.

Lightly hazed, light golden-yellow colour, with a big frothy white head, good retention and thick foamy lacing all-around. Lemon zest aromas with a touch of orange juice and oats. The taste shows mandarines, so a tad fruitier, sweeter. A wet mouthfeel, with very mild dryness. An easy-drinking, milder 5% ABV NEIPA that does not have much to offer, other than refreshing.
