Hoppy Road is a French brewery founded in Nancy in 2017 by Julien Pecheur, Lucas Del Biondo and Charles Sanner. Julien and Lucas started as homebrewer, and after winning the first prize in 2015 at the Paris Beer Week, they decided to start brewing studies at the Institut de la Brasserie et de la Malterie. In 2017 they joined with Charles and started with the brewery. Their brewery in Nancy has a capacity of 2.000 Hl per year.

Bière trouvée aux Vins Gourmands à Lille. Robe trouble, mousse correcte mais assez éphémère. Nez très fruité, sur les fruits jaunes et exotiques. En bouche, on retrouve de belles notes de fruits exotiques et de fruits jaunes, avec une pointe de pamplemousse qui ressort en finale. Ensemble très juicy, gourmand et particulièrement fruité. Une Hazy IPA bien expressive et agréable !

Canned 330ml. -Courtesy of Hrabren, shared with him & Marko. Black coloured, small brown head that went away fast, weak cherry in the nose. Roasted malt, light cherry, metallic touch, some alcohol and short sweet finish.

0.33 l can from A la bière comme à la bière, Paris, shared with Ogi and Marko. Dark brown, small beige head. Aroma is burnt, roasty, charred wood and dark roasted coffee. Hints of red fruit and dried fruit. Smooth, slick, metallic, heavy. Roasty and burnt flavour with a hint of raspberries. Some sweetness but finishes dry.

0.33l can (filled to 0.35l hahah) courtesy of Hrabren, shared with Ogi and me. Very dark brown, blackish body, no head. Sharp cherry aroma, bit oily, some maltiness, minerally. Smooth lean dry taste, fermented out light cherry, bit of cocoa, roast, not bad, goode beer, but promises cocoa and sour cherries and doesn't really deliver on either. Low alcohol presence though.

Bottle shared thanks to Pierre. Bit hazy golden with very fluffy white head. Zesty, sweet mlats, peach, grassy, bready, orange. Light sweet and bitter. Medium bodied, strong carbonation.

330ml bottle. Minimally cloudy, chestnut colour with ruby shimmer and small, frothy, fading, off-white head. Vinous fruity, slightly tangy and minimally woody aroma, notes of blue grapes, morello, a touch of vinegar, balsamico, whiffs of oak. Taste is tart, vinous fruity, slightly tangy and woody, caramel malty basis with low residual sweetness, hints of blue grapes, balsamico, some oak, morello.
Oily texture, astringent palate, medium, prickly carbonation.

Can from Drankenhandel Leiden. Roasted malt with chocolate, pecan, vanilla, salty caramel, fudge. Medium sweet with a mild bitterness. Fairly full body. Vanilla and pecan in the finish. Rich, bittersweet, good.
