A big dense tan head with heavy lacing on a dark brown body. A big rich nose with sweet malt, cocoa, coffee, berries and some chalkiness. This is a big rich imperial porter. Slightly bitter coffee, cocoa, chocolate fudge, plums, dark berries and a touch of rye spice are all present in this dense and rich beer. A touch of vanilla adds to the party. Smooth, well blended and creamy. Superior

Smoked malt, peat, with bacon, berries, a little citrus bite make for an intriguing taste sensation. This bottle has aged a year, so the flavours are coming together. Rich body and alcohol level speak to the potential of aging further. Nice rich dense body too. I am really at a loss to evaluate this one in a definitive fashion beyond that. Quite unique, however you cut it!

Bottle. Delicious looking dark brown with a beige head. Intense aroma and flavor with alcohol, brown booze, hot sauce, roasted malts, dark dried fruit and brown sugar. Lightly spiced, clove, star anise and cardamom. Not really much Quad left, but it's sure a tasteful and delicious brew. 949417 250921
