Globalement agréable cette triple Jules fait preuve de déséquilibres successifs qui ne permettent pas d'être totalement satisfait de sa dégustation. Ainsi des épices trop présentes ou un alcool pouvant être légèrement agressif voire de légers relents plastiques viennent nous contrarier alors que la base, elle, est très honorable. Le visuel est sur un blond orangé légèrement voilé avec une mousse blanc cassé crémeuse très abondante (4 cm). Le nez est sur le girofle, la banane, la pêche, l'ananas et le genièvre. Celui-ci a un caractère certain tout comme l'attaque, bien épicé, un brin trop d'ailleurs avec un poivre qui apparaît en plus des arômes présents au nez. Un petit côté plastique dérangeant est également décelable. La texture, fine surprend quelque peu. L'équilibre malt/amertume/alcool est cependant bon. La deuxième bouche voit l'alcool, à 8%, sur des airs de Gin, prendre confiance et être légèrement agressif. Une petite astringence apparaît également. Arrière bouche et final bien que sobres seront plus équilibrés, moins épicé et avec un alcool juste. Corpulence et longueurs sont pour leurs parts appréciables. Jules ne sera pas le César des triples.

Hazy pale golden, tall frothy white head, good retention, sticky lacing. At first sourish nose, lemon and goose berries, followed by sweet malt, grain, floral hops, some acidity in the background, herbal touch esp. retronasal. Fruity taste, light sweet and medium bitter, malty, grain, yeast, herbal notes. Light to medium body, watery texture, soft carbonation, dry soft sweetbitter aftertaste, orange peel, husky, herbal notes, a well hopped saison, bit strange but nice.

Fles 33cl thuis. Zoeten, maltig, kleffig, tropisch fruit, fruitig, bitters, hars, orangepeel, droog. Wordt mooier naargelang het glas leger wordt. Redelijk complex. (29-2-2020).

Thick, dense & stable, just off-white head over clear copperish golden beer; textbook lacerings. Aromatic, yes, but rather like sweet speculaas herbs (hard gingerbread). Later a bit cheesy smelling, almost like nettlecheese. Bitter flavour, but in the background again those sweet herbs. Good carbonation gives a fleeting acidity impression. Later the hops come more to the for, but with some oxydation notes all the same. Wonder how fresh the hops were that Eutropius used. Preserved orangepeel, sucade. Head is seriously hopbitter. Good carbonation, hopoilslick, medium bodied. Well... not a true IPA IMHO, but in itself, the beer is not without merit. Purchased at the brewery address

Huge, dense, yellowish head, rather stable over cold-hazed golden beer. Rather oppressive nose, with spices, citruspeel, milkpowder, dried and ground lemonpeel, coriander. Sweetish-pale malty at first, hints at dry spices and then a sourish, light-acidic touch - wonder it that was intended. Some hopbitterness appears, strangely enough after some warming up. Creamy feel from the head, whilst the CO² in the beer gives acidity and sparkling. Quite slick, light body. Bof. Not bad.

Thick, just off-white head over almost clear orange-golden beer, well carbonated. Spicy nose, hints at white candi sugar, orange(peel) aroma, not unlike coriander, but apparently not the herb. Yeastesters. Dry flavour with a little burning, aromatic edge, toast, again oranges, orangeliqueur. Definitely white candi sugar. Breadyeast, spicy esters. Better than the nose. Mannah, warming up becoming a bit pharmaceutical. Burning MF, very dry, good carbonation, long lasting flavours. Taste is quite OK, and could nearly be called original. The wheat? Whatever, good tripel. I Purchased at the brewery address. /I

33cl Bottle from Saendyck. Slightly hazy golden colour, dense thick white head. Aroma of apples, grassy, light raspberry funk, peppery, malty. Flavour is medium sweet, malty, apples, grassy bitterness, peppery, just light funky, light hoppy, bitter finish, hint of tartness, light spicy. Medium bodied. Decent, enjoyable.
