Medium beige head. Nearly opaque black body goes deep dark brown at edges. Roasty earthy linoleum aroma with spicy caramelly notes. Dry-sweet roasty earthy caramelly taste with plasticky notes. Mid-bodied. Mild, soft mouthfeel. Dryish resiny earthy prunes aftertaste with burnt chocolatey notes. Nice, drinkable, pleasant. (0.5 bottle, from Clarkes, Whitby.)

Medium offwhite head. Clear brown body with light carbonation. Caramelly earthy aroma with floral notes. Sweetish earthy caramelly taste with watery dusty sugary notes. Mid-bodied. Mild, soft, mealy mouthfeel. Dry-sweet earthy rye crisp bread aftertaste with spicy dusty notes. Nice, drinkable, perhaps a bit watery. (0.5l bottle, from Clarkes, Whitby.)

Cask, handpump at FFTMC, Oxford 17.04.11 Pours light amber with a white head. Some creamy vanilla is coming through, medium hoppiness, touch of sweetness, but the vanilla come back again to smooth things out and rather dominate. A6 A4 T6 P3 Ov12 3.1

Cask at the Crosse Keys, JDW. Clear, chestnut pour with strong, off-whiite head. Dark, ripe fruit nose with prune and cherries. Lightly sweet with more fruits, soggy bread, faint herbal bitterness. Medium bodied with soft carbonation. Some tangy, dark and semi-dried fruits in the finish. Alright.

Cask (handpump) at the Darlington Spring Thing beer festival 2011. ABV is 3.7%. Golden colour, low head. Aroma of butterscotch and pale wort. The flavour is smooth with some grainy notes, tolerable New Zealand hops in the finish and aftertaste.
