Bouteille 33cl, merci Vincent, BB01/07/2020.

6/II/20 - 33cl bottle from a trade, shared @ home, BB: XII/2019 (2020-125) Thanks to Bierridder_S for the trade!

Clear blond to orange beer, big dense solid creamy white head. Aroma: bit malty, some banana, fruity notes, little spicy, herbal, some jam, bit oxidized. MF: ok carbon, medium to full body. Taste: malty start, bit sweet, caramel, bit oxidized, some strawberry jam, pretty bitter, little chemical. Aftertaste: nice bitterness, bit spicy, chemical bitterness, fruity, quite some solvent, nail polish remover, caramel, strawberry jam.

Paired nicely with meatballs in tomato sauce and fries!

Sampled between ratebeer and brewver. Didn't take specific notes. I didn't enjoy this one all to much.

Pours cloudy yellow blonde. Small white head. Smell is bit fruity, malty, not very intense. Taste is sharp, rather malty, citrussy, sharp witbier-style yeasty Ness, bit spices. Belgian character. Bit pladticy finish. I had this beer before and liked it better than.

@BXL Beer Fest 2019. Pale golden colour, white foam. Sweet, lots of honey, notes of peach and stone fruit. Well balanced, very light bitterness in the finish.

H2O’s witbier or ‘blanche’, thanks to Steve for sharing at BXL Beerfest. Snow white, mousy, somewhat loose and opening head, hazy pale straw blonde robe with greenish tinge. Aroma of ripe banana, coriander seed, green apples, minerals, white bread dough, soap. Fruity onset but restrained in sweetness, banana peel, green apple, green kiwi, crisp minerally carbonation, somewhat thin mouthfeel; soapy wheatiness in a thin way leading to a coriandered finish with a dash of dried lime peel refreshment, but more dominated by lingering banana and wheaty-soapy aspects. On the thin side even for a witbier, but technically decent enough and I can imagine enjoying this one cold on a hot summer day.

The first beer by this new Brussels brewery, tasted at BXL Beerfest. Thick and foamy, egg-white, stable head, hazy ‘lemony’ yellow pale golden robe. Aroma of dried lemon zest, white bread slices, raw turnip, radish, banana peel, freshly cut grass, green apple. Sweetish onset but restrainedly so, unripe banana and green pear notes, rather subdued in fruitiness, sharp and stinging carbonation, supple and lean white-bready malt base, bit cereally, vaguely sweetish, leading to a drying, peppery finish with a faint dash of citrus peel bitterness. Holds the middle between a modern English golden ale and a traditional Belgian blonde, but with a somewhat amplified, American-inspired hop bitterness to it. Modern and quenching, rather easygoing but no serious flaws or other shortcomings here.
