Pours very dark purple. Smell is full-on berries. Taste is full, sweet, sticky, intense berries. nice ! The quality of Blacksmith has exploded recently, this is the stuff I could only dream of getting local untill now ! This one was my favorite of MBF2019 !

Light flamingo red, clear fluid with some transparent bubbles. Spicy, herbs, pharmaceutical, but also raspberry. Sweet, if nowhere cloying. Again faint herbs, balanced. Fruity, but less easily recognisable. Light, not sticky, certainly for a mead. Nice, like it!

Clear dark pink-red liquid. Very nice red fruit nose, several kinds; waffles syrup. Red berries flavour, sweet but nowhere cloying. Delicate flavour, and of course, blossom honey. Just enough viscosity & slickness. finish is more honey than fruit. And again, something subtely meaty. Nice, not so cloying as comparable Polish meads.

Very beautiful clear red, shining as red tinfoil. Raspberry, raspberry cake, raspberry jam. Sweet raspberry, with a surprising meaty vector, as smoked sausage. Raspberries are true, but the acids are gone in the mix. Ultra slick & sticky, full bodied, syrupy. This is ultra-dangerously drinkable, lethal! If it weren't for the amount of sugars... Again one asking to be fiddled with!

Clear red-ruby liquid. Rosewater in force, hint at mop-Brett - like, lychee, soap-y. rosewater, orangeblossom, red fruit. Whiff of lemon. Finish is dry. Medium bodied, just a bit slick. Very surprising style, very perfumed seen the rosepetals are added. Not my usual remark, but this would be excellent cooled, or even with ice, and a bit of limejuice.

Clear pale cognac colour, with some straw reflections. Very nice herbal/spicy nose, with rosemary, lavender and allspice. Ciderapples, again lavender, allspice; retronasal cinnamon. Applepeel, but also the rind from honeycured ham. Much less viscous than the Polish meads. Very surprising, but at the same time, very nice & original.
