Old rating from 27-02-16 - 330ml Bottle picked up from a restaurant in Berlin. Pours a golden colour with a small cream head. A malty and grainy aroma. The flavour has a light sweetness and notes of malt, bread, flower and the finish is dry and slightly bitter.

Gold with a foamy, white head. Aroma promises white bread with butter, honey, and a touch of metal. Taste is mildly sweet up front, increasingly bitter at the back. Medium bodied, dry, good chewiness. Good for a Helles. Still a Helles though.

Brown with a frothy, beige head. Aroma earthy with light roasted tones, a good dollop of caramel, and hints of figs. Taste is bittersweet, a mix of coffee bitterness and malty, caramel & fig-like sweetness. Bitter and lightly fruity at the finish. Body to the full side of medium, mild carbonation, chewy, a bit warming but not quite boozy. Good overall balance. Nice one!

Copper colored with a creamy, white head. Aroma promises caramel and mixed grains with faint berry undertones. Taste is moderate herbal/grainy bitter with lingering sweet undertones both dough-like and laced with caramel. Medium bodied, smooth, dry. Good chewiness. Pleasant.

Eichhofener Helles, Flasche vom Biermeister, Berlin-Schöneberg. - Goldgelb, klar. Klar unterbewertet. (4.7.2023.)

Darker brown. Aroma is melasses, soy sauce, light cranberry, grandma's curtain. Taste is quite umami with a few sugary deep melasses flavours. A bit musty. Ok.
