A hazed golden ipa with a thin lacing white head. In aroma, sweet fruity biscuit malt with resinous floral hops, grapefruit pulp, light dank notes, faint oxydation, pleasant. In mouth, a nice sweet fruity biscuit malt with resinous floral hops, loads of citrus, pine needles, light oxidation, still solid after 9 years.

Bottles and draught upon release back in 2011 or so. Mostly clear, bronze-brass-maize. Large, pillowy-white head showing moderately-strong retention. Nose is very well-expressive of a nicely-developed brett conditioning. Comparing it to Helios or something like Stillwater's brett golden, it comes off a little more powerful, with strawberry, spice and maybe a hint of herbaceous wood. Malts are deeper and more sumptuous adding rich honey and dough. Clean, no alcohol noted. Soft and malty, good attenuation though still plentiful honey-like character to balance the rich cherry-strawberry-lime of the Brett. Lower Sacch. character than some of the others here, with ample woody bitterness lingering.

I have a 16 oz can by way of the local craft beer joint chilled and pouring into my Great Heights tulip glass. A clear light gold with a bare ring of white foam, strong carbonation though. Decent enough nose with some tropical and some hops. The drink is pretty nice, a bit of mango, oranges, white bread, a little pine and varnish. More sweet to it than bitter, it works. Substantial sensation. Good brew, not great imo.

Can from Total Wine in Sacramento, CA. Pours translucent gold with a moderate white head. Aroma of black tea and berry - quite light. Approaching med body. Flavor matches the aroma with a little light malt. Berry fruit. Towards dry. Barely bitter.

Can from Total Wine in Folsom, CA. Pours clear brown with a large, creamy tan head. Aroma of toffee with a clove note. Less than med body. Flavor is toffee, clove and something suggesting a cake or pastry with dark flavor - maybe similar to chocolate. Not fruit tho. A bit weak flavor wise.

Yea got this from the luekins joint and its west coast all the way baby. Fer sher this is right up GF's ass crack. Break a pine tree branch and smell it, this is the nose of this beer. Taste? Or did I say Teste? WTHF? It's IPA all the way, and its terribly on style, and its new england before new england IPA was was NEIPA? HAH! You know it! Big ass bitter and really dead on style. HEY! You got to to do this if you are an IPA lover, of which I am not. New england is stupid ass when it comes to IPA; GF was there a decade before NEIPA even thought of being a style in the gleam of its daddy's eye. There you have it, so ignore my non gmos ticking a stupid straight up ass IPA numbers.

12 oz can purchased at Mr. T's locally and chilled for a tasting. I make the pour into my ABGB snifter to see a dark orange body finished with an eggshell brown top of foam that slowly dwindles. The nose is attractive, pine, orange and a bit of grain. I lift the glass and take a drink. It strikes me as firmly old-school, glad to get one occasionally. Lemons, tons of hoppiness, varnish, white bread, resin and just a bit of sweetness. Lots of bitterness, nice throughout.
