29 September 2019. Bottle from a supermarket in Iraklion, Crete. Balcony tasting in Pela Mare hotel. Shared with the lovely Anke! Pours clear golden with a lasting, small, foamy, off-white head. Aroma of yeast, ripe apple, bread, honey, flowers, melon, vague iron. Taste is light to medium malty sweet, restrained fruitiness in a bready & honey-like character, a tad metallic over bitter spicy notes. Dry, grassy hoppy finish, slick honey & (fruity) yeast. Medium body, oily texture, lively carbonation. Inoffensive, nothing too special.

Bottle. Clear gold with a nice white head. Aroma of citrus fruits and grains. Taste is grains, bread and citrussy hops. Full bodied. Dry finish with lingering bitterness. Ok but I definitely prefer Pilsener with noble hops.

0,33 l bottle from a supermarket in Rhodos City. Clear dark golden in the glass, more than one finger white head. Grainy grassy smell. Taste is dry grainy with bitter hops. Like a northern German Pilsener. Nice.
