Familienbrauerei Jacob

Regional Brewery in Bodenwöhr, Bavaria, Germany 🇩🇪

Established in 1758

Contact
Ludwigsheide 2, Bodenwöhr, 92439, Germany
Description
In 1758 the first master brewer, Peter Still from Fischbach, was able to start work on the Hammersee. In 1804 the Electorate of Bavaria decided to privatize the brewery. In 1884 Johann Baptist Jacob, great-grandfather of the current generation of owners, Marcus and Friedrich Jacob, acquired the company. The next two generations Jacob (each with first name Friedrich) took over his pioneering spirit and the iron will to keep the company up to date for the benefit of quality and employees. The continuation of the family tradition is assured even today. For the future, the next generation of Jacob is ready to successfully carry the centuries-old values into the fifth generation.

Finish harmonischer, würzig-malzig. Sehr süffig. Gut!

0.5l bottle, thx FIl for sharing! Clear deep golden body, lasting thick off-white head. Odd but not unpleasant white grape aroma, bit caramelly and woody, sweetish. Lean, dry taste, light wood and light light light white grape touch. Solid!

Huge thanks to WillemsUrenkel for that one! Bottle looks simple but good. Beer in the glass with a nice head. Starts mild, soft-malty, shy roasty notes. Mild bitter background. Not too sweet. Finish well balanced, again soft-malty. Shy chocolate. Nice!

Bottle. Mitchell’s Wines. Clear light amber. Nicely solid just off white foam stays the course. Nutty bready herbal soft spicy malts and grassy leafy nettle leaf like hop. Taste is nutty and sweet with mulch like bitterness. Good body stays sinkable throughout. Spicy hop finish with a light dry bitterness. Solid tackle.

Dorada casi limpia. Espuma blanca de poca retención. Aroma a pan tierno. Amargor moderado. Mas seca al final. Rica.
