Description
Matteo & Cristina Minelli founded Birra Flea in 2013, with the dream of showing their love for the town of Gualdo Tadino and combining the best traditions with an innovative approach. They decided to create a product with a very strong local identity: a beer containing the best fruits of their hometown. The output is 55.000 hectoliters of Italian craft beer per year!
Birra Flea is produced from the well-known waters of Gualdo Tadino and the best malts - 100% Italian barley - produced and selected from the Minelli's farm. Birra Flea is produced with only wheat and barley malts - no other unmalted grains - and is both unfiltered and unpasteurized. It is refermented in the bottle in order to preserve its organoleptic properties, without the addition of preservatives and chemical additives.

Bottle at La Zoccola, Amsterdam. Poured almost black in colour with an everlasting frothy off-white head. The aroma is grassy hops. The flavour is moderate bitter, with a smooth, rich, roasty, grassy citrus, hop bitter palate. Over medium bodied with soft carbonation.

Purchased at Aldi in Abano Terme, should be this beer based on the properties. Light gold, decent head. Mildly citrus nose, flavor has lots of citrus as well and is a bit harsh in its bitter character. Slight maltiness behind the C hops, it's quite decent for a beer purchased at Aldi.

On thursday, at night, relax, starting with this one. A classical Belgian blonde ale that you find easily in Italy. This one is good, smooth, malty, fruity, note of apricot, yeasty, refreshing, a bit herbal, small note of coriander. 10.06.2023

Best before 05/23. Trying this bottle, two days ago, at night, coming back from Geneva. On the way of a houleuse, lighter than the gab's version, refreshing, malty, cereal, a bit fruity, a bit sweet, classical hop and bitterness, watery, note 3.6, 12.01.24
