Description
In 2012, The Harbour Brewing Co. was just a fledgling idea: to brew proper beer reflecting the land (and shores) from where it came. Taking the best raw ingredients - awesome hops, Cornish spring water tapped straight from the source - and bringing them to life through dedication to technique. The concept evolved by the ocean - hence, 'Harbour' - but the beer came into being on the farm. There is joy in returning to the roots of the ingredients. And the heritage of the space, of the land, of the ocean, remain our inspiration. Everything clicks; the farm is Harbour's home.

Euston Tap, Euston 5 Nov 12. Gyldenbrun. Lavt tett skum som forsvinner. Litt fester seg til glasset. God sitrus/appelsinaroma. Smaken er mรธrk frukt. Overmoden fersken. Bra fylde men ikke helt god. Tungdrikkelig.

Bottle from beermerchants.com. A dark brown/black coloured pour with a small off white head on top. Roasty, malty, chocolate aroma. Tastes roasty, malty, chocolate, some caramel and dark fruit in there. Quite a good porter but a little thin.

Bottle from Connollyโ€™s Wines, Solihull. Poured a slightly cloudy bronze with a thin white head and low carbonation. The aroma is rich, strong and extremely hoppy. The flavour is strongly bitter, hoppy, spicy, dry and with pepper notes on the palate. It was a fine beer to taste, but the extremely hoppy taste might quickly become a little too much.

Cask at Euston Tap, half pint shared with Finn. Beige head on top of a deep, rosewood coloured body. Dotted spots to the glassware. Inviting smell of earthy, semi-sweet malts. Taste of slightly roasted chocolate malts leading to a coffee bitter end. Nice porter (London, 05.11.2012).

Cask, half, shared with Finn at Euston Tap. Clear golden. Spotty lacing down the glass. Smell of farmyard followed by the taste of sweaty hops with a backdrop of grainy malts. Bittersweet endnotes. Accepted (London, 05.11.2012).
