Cardiff Mini-break Beer#17. Clear golden session lager with lots of obvious nose, but a more settled slightly sugary taste.

On tap at the Old Farmhouse, Kentish Town on 17th February 2026. Clear golden amber with shallow white foam and travelling lace. Nutty malts and citrus peel in aroma. Grassy and citrusy in-mouth and a dryish grassy finish. Light bodied with a zingy mouthfeel.

Light gold, opalescent, with a creamy head, and moderate persistence. Delicate aroma, hints of apricot, caramel, pine, and herbs. The taste is also delicate, with grapefruit, stone fruit, orange peel, herbs, lemon, and a touch of resin. Medium-bodied and smooth, with low carbonation. Alcohol well hidden. Pleasantly drinkable, but could be more engaging.

330ml can from M&S in London, England. Pours a clear yellow color with a small white head and poor retention. Very little lacing. Slightly souring malt aroma. The taste follows the nose: Slightly souring pale malt flavor and barely any bread notes. Starting to go bad, or just a bad flavor? Light body. Lower than expected carbonation. Not bitter. Not so good.

Fra fat på The Spread Eagle Inn, sammen med Steven: klar lys gylden med fint skum som varer. Citrus, litt furunål og andre nødvendige inntrykk. En helt betimelig og vellykket forfriskning mens vi venter på lunsjen.

Bottle online from Rad Beer. Pours near clear orange gold with large white foam. Aroma: sweet grains, cider apple, mild lemon. honey, herbal hints. Taste: surprisingly sweet, floral, mild saison yeast. Not a huge wild/mixed ferm vibe, as another correspondent notes it's more Belgian blonde than wild ale. Medium body with foamy carbonation. Tastes like it's past it's best but I have no comparison.
