Bottle - Bruxellensis Festival. Hazy gold, with thin beige head. Very hoppy aroma, carries it well too in the body with good pale malt. Really hoppy on end. Lovely.

Draught - Bruxellensis Festival. Hazy, cloudy gold, thin white head. Very carbonated, niceish sharp hop. Good dry hop finish. Bit too harsh for my liking. On tap at Kerelshof Cassel lovely bitter golden beer. I really was an idiot when I started rating.

Hazy, orange body. Off-white head. Aroma of orange, flowers, lavender, ... Very fresh aroma. Very interesting flavour: heavily bitter with some vanilla flavours slowly rising up after 3 seconds.

(Bottle 33 cl) Pours a hazy, pilsener golden with a gigantic and very lively head. Lightly perfumy nose - some coriander I believe. Medium body, lightly sweetish malty with fresh and lightly citrusy notes. Dry and hoppy finish. Quite fresh. 210906

Pours hazy gold into a tulip. Massive, rocky, bright white head leaves chunks as it recedes. Hay and lemon aromas. Crisp and fizzy with lemon honey and a slight hop finish.

Draught at Bruxellensis Festival. Dark brown/red. Thick lasting beige head. Caramel, buttery, not great. Some hop on finish. But mostly its butter.33cl bottle a Kasteelhof Cassel. Deep red russet colour. lasting beige head OK red beer. some sweetness. it's fine. unremarkable. a bit of wildness in there somewhere. pleasant if unexciting.

Draught Fully hazy orange; small but persistent white rim. Grapey nose, bit nutty, and some caramelly malt. Almondy taste, peach stones, perfumed flavours but as from pushed yeast. Medium bodied, slightly slick. Ugh. Serious problem with this almonds taste. I wonder if kegging this beer is doing it a favour...

Draught Brown beer with orange highlights; small yellow-orange consistent head. Bit (chest)nutty, caramel, and traces of diacetyl, buttery. Sweet, nearly lemonade-like. Diacetyl, but not really imposing, but sweetness is close to cloying. Buttery feel, medium bodied at best. Not very impressive. Least of the Thiriez beers, so far.

Draught Near black beer with reddish hightlights; medium yellow-brown, fine-bubbled head. Stout nose, but even more dark grains, and ground coffeebeans. Moccha, and faint tobacco flavours, lots of dark malts, exactly the good typical dark French beer. Finishes remarkably sweet-sour. Faint yeast slickness, even carbon powder. Another very good French noir. Love the style. Belgian ale???

Slightly hazy orange tinted yellow beer with a small, disparate just off-white head. Hoppy, special UK hops with a cigarettesmoke-like aroma. Some rainwater. Good UK/European hops returning in the taste. ’t IS superbly hopped, but there’s too little malts to sustain it. Pity, because the beer is extremely clean-tasting. So, yes, MF is where it goes awry. PLEASE add just a tad of malt (peat-smoked?) extra, and you’ve got an real winner.
