25cl bottle from Good Spirits Co, Glasgow. It pours hazy bright golden - yellow with a decent white cap. The aroma is toasty grains, cereal, warming spice, ginger beer, baked goods, nougat, tangy lemony citrus and melon. The taste is crisp, dry, snappy, some firm grassy bitterness, leafy, fragrant, herbal, spicy, floral, straw, soda water with lemon and a touch of estery fruits. Finish is lingering bitterness and dryness. Maybe a touch too light for my liking. Not bad for what it is.

opalescent dark golden colour, huge, dense ecru head; aroma of honeycomb toffee-linden honey, some citrusy, fruity (apple peel-like), Belgian yeasty and earthy notes; hoppy taste with similar notes to the aroma; good one!

Can picked up from Good Spirits Co, Glasgow. It pours hazy pale orange with a thick, fluffy white head. The aroma is quite spicy upfront, biscuit, barnyard funk, granny smith apple, gooseberry, white currant, lemon rind, dusty basement, hay and baked goods. The taste is crisp, dry, snappy, minerality, some bitterness, musty, dry wood, earthy, peppery spice, nip of booze, barnyard funk, metallic twang, gooseberry, pear skin and leather with a drying, spicy finish. Medium body and high, foamy carbonation. Interesting and quaffable.

On tap at Delirium Taphouse, Brussels, Belgium. A murky dark golden/orange/yellow coloured pour with a huge white head on top. Crisp, yeasty, fruity, rye, citrus, earthy, spice. A really decent drop, a quality saison.

I’m a big fan of DuPont but I have to say this is a step below their usual offerings. Doesn’t quite sing. A little boozy note, some crunchy grains and biscuits, grassy bitterness, husky straw, mellow flaked wheat. Drinks fine, it’s just not world-class.

It is a regular stout, really dry, toasted malt, coffee, hop, on the classical way, as usual nice dark body, perfect for a lovely night, 06.05.17, at Prélaz.

0.25l bottle. Aroma is grainy, citrusy and yeasty. Pours cloudy dark straw color with thick soapy white head, yeast residue and average visible carbonation. Taste starts light to medium sweet grainy, honeyish and citrusy, following is yeasty, herbal and mild peppery, mouthfeel is smooth, while finish is dry and pretty bitter. Light to medium body, slick texture and lively carbonation in palate. Light and refreshing…
