500ml bottle pours out golden topped with a small fizzy white head. Nose is nice crisp stone fruit and plenty funky tartness. Taste is more of the nice sweet jammy stone fruit and a well balanced sour funk.

500ml bottle from Tavour. Golden pour, sturdy foamy head. Fruity aroma, stone fruit, tartness. Taste comes in with a full tart pucker, plenty of stone fruit notes. Sweet and sour.

Odd bird we have here. Very tart for a lager (of any style), with bright notes of green apple and white bread, underlined by a sake-like sweetness and lingering fruitiness in the finish. The tartness never really abates, and kinda kills the whole vibe here. Muddled, not all that good.

Tasty teeny tiny li’l baby pils. Nice notes of citrus, white bread, apple, and yeast, with a floral bitterness on the back end. Very easygoing, very drinkable, probably the best under-4% beer I’ve tried.

Oddly metallic nose, off-putting even if the beer itself is decent. Mild melon-citrus sweetness touched with white bread and grain, followed by a strong mineral bitterness. Not bad.

Absolutely delicious. Lórien hops add notes of bright citrus and honeydew, backed up by an herbal spiciness and mild hints of sweet grain and tangerine. Gentle floral-mineral bitterness on the finish. Terrific pils; adds the oomph of dry hopping without obliterating the subtleties of a great pilsner. Right on.

Seems pretty far off from a traditional ESB; citrus and vinous notes clash with the toasted bread and caramel, and the floral-oak bitterness doesn’t connect with the lingering yeast. Just a weird ESB.
