Big $3 pounder can from chalet premier. Pour is nearly clear pale with a decent white head that fades. Nose is mild pickled jalapenos, no lie. First nig swig is certainly j peppers and there is a the bitter IPA backbone fer sher. This is exactly as advertised; a jalapeno pepper IPA. A warming sensation developes. Different, but not being fond of IPA, its still a little difficult to take. Not sure if the effect of the peppers or not, but there is a bit of unpleasant astringent bite in there. In the middle, its especially prevalent. Maybe if I drank this iced cold, it may be better to handle, but at straight up regular refrigerated temps, its not good for this macro lager lover. Whew.

On draught at The Draft Room. The beer pours darkest brown with some mahogany around the edges, and a medium thin beige head that diminishes steadily to an outer ring. Sparse strings of lace. Bourbon, malt and fruit in the nose. Full-bodied with flavors of oaky bourbon, vanilla, caramel malt and dark fruit. The finish is oaky with a bourbon and malt aftertaste. Good Barley Wine all around.

Could have sworn I had this before but must be mistaken with another beer. Tons of caramel and vanilla. Smooth boozy tingling finish.

Canned from department of beer & wine. Hazy yelow pour, some acidic wheat and citrius and peppery spicey notes, pretty good.

Aromas are a blend of resin, citrus pith, dry grass and cereal. Flavors are similar to nose, with citrus standing out. Just a touch more sweet than bitter with good carbonation. Very drinkable although nothing too new.
