16 oz can in a trade with tfontana. Aroma is grapefruit and orange. Flavor shows of citrus with undertones of herb and pine without resin. Good balance, and moderate bitterness. Well made without a question. However, not gonna get you too excited. Or it could be that I am a jaded snob?

16 oz can in a trade with tfontana. Aroma of soft citrus with a little bit of danky herb. Flavor follows with a mild malt backbone and soft mouthfeel. Can is dated 12/11/23. So it is no surprise it seems a bit muted. That said, it’s held up extremely well!

Can (12/11/23) pour from Manchester Wine and Liquors (can says Imperial Pale Ale and ABV is 6.5%. Hops Citra & Azzaca.) Opaque dark yellow with nice sparkle, thin head with fair retention and light lacing. Aroma is strong citrus, grapefruit, pine and slight herb. Taste is strong citrus and pine, decent malt backbone. Smooth, frothy texture, average carbonation and crisp, dry, malty-yeasty finish. Taste not as interesting as aroma but good strength.

Bottle shared. Bit hazy very pale golden with huge head. Very lovely. Lots of Brett, wheat, lemon zest, grassy hops, barnyard funk. Light sweet and a bit more bitter. Over light bodied. Very nicely just a bit too carbonation.

Pours hazy bright yellow with a fluffy white head. Aroma of pine, grapefruit. Taste has heavy pine notes, some citrus. Palate has some more pine oils. Quite good.

Bayberry draught, 8/12/23. Clear, cherry tinged brass. Small, pink head instantly fizzles. Spicy nose? Odd, though maybe a ton of pit and skin. Floral, almost, with strong lactic character. Lovely fruit character, as always. Light oak. Soft, juicy, very lactic. Floral bordering on green bell pepper. But great body/texture/attenuation. Sourness lightens on the lightly oaky, lightly juicy finish. Very flavorful for its size.

Armsby draught, 7/26/23. Clear, dark, no head. Whew, yeah that's nice, really get a chocolatey, nutty, spicy rye and spicy bourbon with rich malts behind it. Not boozey, with wine/plum, mellow chocolate and rich mineral. Soft, malty, hint of roast, oxidation, vanilla. Good acidity, with chocolate and plentiful rye nuttiness. Juicy almost with great acidity. It sort of breaks up the body a bit but certainly balances. No booze.

Row 34 draught, 5/23/23. Lightly hazy, muted brass-golden. Large, snow white head, well-retained. Oh baby, round, playful, fruity Brett with rustic grains, touch of honey and a touch of citrus. Delicate. Heavy mineral. Hint of lactic acidity. Brett is a bit over-developed, but just slightly. Plaster, lemon, low acidity. Wish there was some lactic character. Brett is mega-fruity. Still, the texture is soft, round, deep, the beer dry and all this for such a low abv. Clean. Hey mineral. Chewy plaster. Lime sherbet.

Publick House draught, 5/20/23. Clear, medium-dark amber. Small, beige head, moderate-to-low retention. Mineral, fruity yeast, a hint of brown sugar and light cracker form the clean nose. Soft, gently malty, very light-bodied with a lower-than-average malt depth exhibited by the best examples of the style. Minimal roast/toast, with strong honey and white bread like base malts. Soft fruit esters, hint of mineral, hint of herbal hops. Very clean.
