Bottle at the Düsseldorf Gathering. Clear, amber body. Rocky, lightly brown head. Aroma of butter, caramel. Lightly bitter flavour. Quite uninteresting.

Bügelverschlußflasche: Amber coloured, smaller fluffy off-white head; delicate nose: caramelly with a touch of toasted malt and an uncertain fruitiness; rather light bodied, light - as well - sweetish-bitter flavour; a metallic tinge in the faint malty-bitter finish. A thinnish, boring brew........

(swing top bottle) Clear, copper colour with a medium-sized light-beige foamy head, leaving some lace. Sweet malty, toasty aroma with chocolate/cacao powder and very faint hoppy notes. Moderately sweet flavour, quite slim bodied with a smooth carbonation. Soft malty taste with chocolate notes; slim and slightly sweet malty finish, again with a touch of milk-chocolate in the aftertaste. Not bad, but unfortunately very slim, if not watery. Definitely not a winter warmer.

Bügelverschlußflasche (many thanks to MoritzF !!!!!!!!!!!!):Deep golden to light amber coloured, medium-sized fluffy head; malty, honeyish nose with a distinctive, almost citrousy, hoppiness; bitter-sweet flavour, medium bodied; lingering, bitter-sweet-malty finish. Well hidden alcohol in a pretty hop-accented brew. Well balanced and moreish............

(swing top bottle) Clear, deep golden colour with a fluffy, moderately persistent off-white foamy head. Sweet and aromatic malty, slightly toasted aroma with a tinge of spicy hops and traces of alcohol in the background. Sweet-bitter flavour, medium body, smooth carbonated mouthfeel. Slightly toasted malty taste with notes of honey and a herbal hoppy background; moderately dry malty and bitter hoppy finish with a well-integrated, almost non-detectable but warming alcoholic efficiency. Well-balanced thus quaffable and not too sweet pale Bock.

Der Malzantrunk ist erstaunlich wenig süß und ebenso wenig malzig, vorherrschend ist eine säuerliche und wässrige Note. Später etwas malziger, dennoch sehr schwach. Entäuschend schwach und langweilig. 10/4/4/5/5/4

Bottle, provided by MoritzF - thanks!
Hazy golden, pearling carbonation, foamy head. Nicest aroma of a Dinkel so far - the citric tart minerally edges of the spelt are there, but it is balanced nicely with citric aromahops. The body is a bit of a let-down - far too light. Flavor is on the light side as well - slightly citric. Aftertaste is almost nonexistent. A shame, it started so good.

(swing top bottle) Clear yellow coloured effervescent hue with a mid-sized frothy white head, quickly diminishing. Slightly sweet, slightly tart citrusy aroma. Weird tart and slightly bitter flavour, light bodied, ok carbonated. Almost ascorbic dry and astringent taste. I hope to be never reliant on this gluten-free brew.

Bottle, cortesy of MoritzF
Roasted tarry and cardboardy aromanotes. Chestnut, off-white blanket head. Nutty and papery malt base, quite lightfooted, light vineous, dusty minerally. Flat aftertaste. Needs a lot more body and a clearly defined hop-profile IMO.

Bügelverschlußflasche (discovered by MoritzF!): Hazy, golden coloured, moderate sweet-fruity nose: ripe bananas, lemons, traces of cloves with a yeasty touch; light sweetish (fruity) flavour, light bodied; slightly tart and sweetish fruity finish with a tinge of bitterness. O.K........and boring!
