500 mL bottle. Cloudy yellow gold pour, medium to large white billowy head that lasts throughout. Grapefruit, pine, huge hop aroma for the abv, some orange in there, a bit of toffee. Taste is huge grapefruit and pine hops, tropical fruit, not overly bitter, more of a malt presence in the taste, caramel more than toffee. Finish is slightly bitter, easy, carbonation is a slight bit too high. Cannot believe how hoppy this is for the abv, maybe one of the best session IPA’s on the market.

How: Bottle.
Where: NK Bar, Stockholm.
Appearance: Dark amber colour with a small beige head.
Aroma: Hops, caramel, some alcohol.
Body:
Flavour: Hops, grapefruit, alcohol. Bitter finish.
Comment: Doesn’t taste like a barley wine. Barley IPA? Too little flavour for the alcohol content. The hops dominates too much. --- Beer merged from original tick of Weird Beard / Electric Nurse Bearded Nurse 2016 on 21 Dec 2016 at 06:22 - Score: Appearance - 6 | Aroma - 7 | Flavor - 6 | Texture - 6 | Overall - 6.5. Bottle at home 13th July 14, watching World Cup Final. This is very easy drinking for the ABV, swallowed this one in less than 15 minutes, plenty of bitter citrus fruit, well rounded and good hops. Very nice DIPA

Keg at the Shepherd’s BrewDog Bush - London. Pours clear, golden-brown with a creamy, off-white head. Big ripe fruit aroma with prominent mango and papaya type stuff. The flavor is quite sweet and sticky, somewhat boozy, with more ripe mango and papaya, along with some balancing piney bitterness. Full bodied with fine to average carbonation and chewy, oily mouthfeel. Finishes warm with more similar rich, well ripened tropical fruits, some honey. Ballsy but very tasty.

Draft at BD Shep Bush - London. Pours rich brown with a frothy, beige head. The nose has strong roasted malts, dry chocolate. Medium sweet with decent alcohol punch, dirt, burnt wood. Full bodied with fine carbonation and oily texture. Finishes fairly warm with lots of charred wood and baking cocoa. Tasty and nicely balanced, if a bit one-dimensional. Nice.
