750 bottle, as Peppercorn Saison. Yeasty nose, minerally, biscuits, oranges and stone fruits, pepper. Glowing orange, cloudy, with lace. Very estery flavor, heavy malts, biscuits, wheat, clove. The pepper almost cuts through the big estery malts but cannot. Tasty as such, rather weizen like, not at all what I want in a saison, though, too sweet and heavy.

Draft at The Big Hunt. Opaque maroon brown color, bright brown head. Aroma of coffee poured over oatmeal poured over cocoa with licorice dipped into it briefly. Taste is boozy burnt espresso, licorice. Light body. A big beer. Nice on a cold winter’s evening, or for breakfast.

Slightly unclear dark orange color, full sized off-white head that diminishes fairly quickly to an average sized head. Aroma is malts, hops, some sticky fruityness, fruity hops. Taste malts, sweetness, some fruityness, a slight hint of white wine, softly bitter coming through after the initial sweetish malts and overripe fruits. Decent body and carbonation.

Bottle @ benzai. Silky orange with a medium sized off-white head. Smells hoppy barley wine, rye, sweet. Tastes sweet, some hops, barley wine, grape peel. Medium to full body, soft carbo.

Opaque black color, average to medium sized brown head that -unfortunately- diminishes quite quickly. Aroma is malts, hazelnut, "milk chocolate", slightly roasted malts, a hint of dark chocolate. Taste malts, lightly roast, chocolate, lightly bitter, lightly hazelnut. Smooth texture, soft carbonation, average to medium body.

Clear orange to amber color, medium sized off-white head that leaves good lacing. Aroma is a bit weird, on the one hand you get a touch of hops but on the other hand it’s.. it’s..I don’t know, but it’s weird. Taste lightly malts, lightly hops, lghtly wood, a hint of rye, slightly a hint of raspberry. Decent body and carbonation.

Bottle @ benzai. Dark brown colour with a dark brown head that doesn’t last. Smells chocolate, raisins, sweet, roasty, deep, slightly alcoholic. Tastes oak, roasty, slightly liquorice, slightly pepper, slightly bourbon. Medium to full body, slightly velvetty, soft carbo.

This beer is almost firing on all cylinders, except for a flat appearance, pouring out like an oil slick. Slick, slippery body, aroma carries some wine like essences, along with some molasses and soy sauce. Alcohol warmth right up front, woody, sweet taste. Medium sweet finish.

750ml bottle pours a hazy, light brown with some creamy, white head. Nose is interesting, some wood shavings, some candy sugar, orange, some soap, some faint pine, dried orange peel. Flavor has candy sugar, orange, pine, malt, some white grape, a little toasted wood. Full bodied, bitter finish. Not a bad beer, but I was disappointed they didn’t take this further for the Illuminati members.
