Cask at Churchkey. Cloudy golden color, fluffy edge head. Aroma of floràl berries. Taste is funky, dusty, peppery berries and light citrus with a bitter finish. Interesting treatment that works pretty well.

Rate #1600! 32 oz growler poured into a 3 Stars snifter/tulip. Birthday gift from a friend who picked this up on draft at the brewery, thanks Ben! Filled on 11/16/2014, opened/consumed on 11/17/2014. Black with no more than half a finger of light tan head that fades quickly. Aromas of dark chocolate, chocolate syrup, some vanilla, just a hint of booze. Tastes of big chocolaty notes including dark chocolate and chocolate syrup, caramel, a bit of vanilla. Medium-full body with a dry finish. Alcohol is pretty well masked. Had this on cask awhile ago but this is better than I remember!

Snagged a bit of the final pour before the keg on tap during tasting hours was kicked. Poured a vibrant golden yellow color with a medium sized white head. Aroma was notes of apples, some light tartness - very similar to the nose on a Millstone cider if you’ve had one before. Flavor was light tart apples, light malt notes. Delicious.

Draft at the brewery. Poured a hazy light yellow color with a small white head. Aroma was notes of light malts, sweetness, some light funky IPA notes. Flavor had some light hops, touch of tropical fruits. Easy to drink, nice change from a number of their usual brews.

Draft at the brewery. Poured a hazy amber color with a small white head. Aroma was notes of light malts, sweetness, some a ton of cranberries in it at the start - as it warms there’s a very subtle note of then. Flavor was light cranberries, with some light sweetness. Would love some additional tartness in this.

4 oz cask pour at ChurchKey. Black with not really any head. Aromas of roast, coffee, booze, dark chocolate. Tastes of roasted coffee, dark chocolate, booze, a bit of dark fruit. Medium body with a dry finish. Like this more than the base version, maybe the cocoa nibs help mask the alcohol.

Some roast and a touch of dark chocolate, though the cacao influence isn’t huge here. Pours black with OK head and lacing on cask. Light bitter finish with some sweetness. Cask at Churchkey.

4oz pour in the tasting room pours a hazy, straw gold with a ring of cloudy, white head. Nose has a lot of tart apple, some perfume, light wood pulp, some boozy notes, a little scented candle, some preserved lemon. Flavor has tart apples, some distinct pear character too, lemon-lime soda, mild funkiness jumps out, faintly horsey, straw, grass, soap, a little lemongrass. Fairly dry, crisp finish.
