Bottle mail order from Belgian Beers Japan. Rather pale gold color with an enormous head. Clear, until you add the yeast from the bottom, when it becomes lightly orange. Very fragrant, very hoppy aroma, lots of citrus, grapefruit, apples, lots of hops. An aroma like no other Belgian beer I have had. The flavor is also very hoppy, bitter, and tart. Good malt, but it is rather subdued. There is a distinctive Belgian flavored yeast that gives it a body and fruitiness very Belgian, but the overall impression is rather close to an American golden ale! Stronger hops than usually found in Belgian beers, light, not as alcoholic, tart, very dry. Very drinkable, with tons of flavor for such a light beer.

Bottle. Weak teaish hop aroma. Clear golden colour. Big stable white head. The flavour is hoppy, grassy flavour hops. There is a hint of yeast as well. High carbonation.

Rating is from a while back...
Overall Impression: Really nice Tripel. Definitely doesn't hide the alcohol much, but the flavors are still there. Try this one, or enjoy this one again, I know I will.

Bottle, Dram Shop, Sheffield. A revisit to an old favourite, even drunk it from the bulky ’official’ goblet that lingers at the back of my glass stash. Poured a hazy golden colour with a decent white head. Aroma had classic belgian yeast, with spice and citrus notes. Quite sweet, but not overwhwlmingly so, and on the whole a pretty well balanced mix of fruit, spice, yeast and hop. Quite in your face booze, yet smooth and drinkable. A good thang.

Aroma of figs, raisins, liquorice. Rich caramel flavor with a touch of cardboard. Very nice and reliable, brown sugar, rather dry finish with some hops. Pretty understated but great.

Apperance; light yello, Hazy with a big white head. Aroma; citrus, fruits and some yeast, pretty complex, but not as the Westmalle Dubbel, I like that much much better. You can’t tell that this is a 9,5% alcohol beer.

bottle, pours hazy light orange. Light citris hop aroma, some alcohol. Light malt and some sweetness ending very dry with a good hop bite. Moderate alcohol burn.

bottle from SHIG, thanks a ton, pours hazy pale yellow, tall frothy white head. Spicy/citric hop aroma. Smells fresh and hoppy. Taste is clean with light hay and a substantial hop bitterness. Ends dry, this is good stuff!

Bottle thanks to Fonefan: Poured a hazy yellow with a creamy off white head. Aroma is citrus, grain, and hops. Taste is a refreshing fruit with yeast and just enough hops to set it off. This makes me want to be a monk!
