Bottle. Light unclear medium to dark yellow color with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate hoppy, grapefruit, moderate yeasty. Flavor is moderate sweet and bitter with a average to long duration. Body is medium, texture is watery, carbonation is soft. Very nice beer like a mix of a light tripel and a light orval, complex and easy to drink. ;o)) (190907)

Cloudy orange body that is darker than most tripels. Not as much head as I expected from a tripel. Nice winy and banana aroma, which may I add is really intensely strong. Taste is hella spicy with some bitterness. The palate is a little too carbonated. The high alcohol content is very well covered up by the rest of the tastes. Heavy aftertaste is certainly present. Needs to be warm to drink... because it is just not good when it is cold- all the bad parts of the beer are present then, but when it gets warmer the complexity and good tastes rise above the little bad parts. Not as much bite as other tripels though.

Bottle pours a slightly hazy deep brown with slight redish hints. Small but persistant light tan head and thick sheeting lacing. Nice woody brown sugar and dark pitted fruits in the aroma. Flavor is not so interesting. Light typical belgian yeast notes and soft woody blanket of flavors. Quite hightly carbonated which seems to blast away some of the subtle flavors. Still nice. Light fizzy palatte.

11.2 oz bottle. Hazy golden color, with a thick frothy head. Heavy lacing. Aroma is sweet, with a tinge of citrus. The flavor is tart, with a nice spicy and malty flavor. Alcohol is only slightly present in the taste, which is surprising since it’s 9.5%.

11.2 oz bottle - Pours hazy yellow with a one finger fading head. It has a light yeast and citrus aroma. The flavor is similar with some mild spice in there too. It’s medium bodied and has a dry finish. this is a good beer, no doubt about it, but honestly I expected a bit more. I thought the St. Bernardus Tripel I had recently was considerably better.
