Bottle; Nose is yeasty with a little banana, clove, and citrus; lightly hazed gold with a small white head; a tiny bit of tartness hits my tongue first, leading into the fruit and spices, ending with a nice bitter, with a tiny bit of alcohol, finish.

Bottle; Nose of plums, spice, and caramel; Hazy brown with a big tan head thats slowly disapates, lacing the glass lightly; flavor of sweet caramel, spicy malt, and dark fruit, with some oaky notes. Body light-medium with a tiny smidgeon of bitterness in the finish.

(Bottle 33 cl) Pours a clear golden with a handsome and frothy off-white head leaving a broad curtain of lacework. Lightly spicy aroma. Light and somewhat watery body with spicy accents - white pepper perhaps. Dry - very dry - with a touch of yeast and diacetyl, perhaps a slightly chemical tang. Dry and lightly hoppy finish. Almost as a watered down Orval, but a pleasant session beer indeed. 131206

Creamy beer with a fat head into which you can almost put your fingerprints. Very nice sweet, subdued alcohol taste. A little bitter. Nice color. Would try this again and the Triple if I ever get the chance.

(bottle, shared by DerDoppelbock) Slightly hazy, yellow colour with a short but persistent creamy white layer. Dusty, light-sweet and tart aroma with spicy lemony hops. Bitter flavour, light to medium bodied with a smooth carbonation. Initially smooth malty with a lemon fruitiness; dry and soft malty and spicy hoppy finish. Quaffable, well-crafted brew (05.10.06).

Bottle (donated by DerDoppelbock): Pale golden coloured, hazy, medium-sized white firm head; citrus-fruity and aromatic hoppy nose; moderate spicy bitter-sweetish flavour; light to medium bodied; soft sweet-bitter finish. O.K., the qualties of the Westmalle brews are detectable here without doubt......

A clear reddish brown ale with an extra thick lacing light moka head. Aroma of warming scotch alcohol, chocolate and orange peels. In mouth, woody malt with long alcohol warmth, not sweet as expected, but loads of coriander and light hopping. A bit thinner than other classics. Still, a classy beer. Bought at LCBO for 2.95$.

Bottle at LCRBM 2, Kulminator, Antwerp, Belgium
Hazy, yellow-orange body. White creamy head. Excellent lace. Nose of hops (orange, mint freshness). Moderately bitter, lightly sweet initial flavour. Lightly bitter, lightly sweet finish. Very nice beer, especially for it’s ABV. Very good complexity. Yummie. I’m doubting to become a monk in order to be able to drink this everyday.
