Mid brown colour with lasting head. Aroma and flavour are very mild. Slightly nutty and malty. Overall a bit too thin and watery.

Handpull cask from the Earl of Beaconsfield, Cambridge. Golden orange, a teeny bit hazy. Some spotty uneven white head. Very mellow but pleasant aroma: some citrus peel and dried mango. Taste is quite bitter, there is a bit of fruitiness to it, and a touch of malt sweetness, but the bitterness overrides everything. Finish is slightly gentler, but there is acidic lemon juice in the finish along with fresh papaya. Not too shabby, but not particularly engaging. Wouldn’t have another if there were other choices.

Cask @ Abel Heywood, Manchester. Blonde with no head. It does have a creaminess about it, but its striking maltiness soon dominates.
