The worst thing about this is that I picked up just enough that it could have been nice. A bit of hop, a bit of fruit, even a bit floral in the finish. But it doesn?t have much of any of it and ends up a bit dull.

Cask @ Crown and Anchor. Very pale gold, slightly cloudy with a creamy white head. No aroma to speak of. Or taste, actually. Pretty bland, with a little oak on the finish. Not a fan

Straw blond colour with lasting head. It’s a particularly dry beer but without a distinct flavour.

Hand pulled half pint at the Batemans Visiter Centre on 31st Oct 2015. I thought this had a strange aroma and taste. Clear golden blonde with a deep, smooth white head. Tropical fruits in both the nose and flavour, hops ruling the brew I suppose, but there was something else in there that did not sit right with me.

Cask @ Abel Heywood, Manchester. Copper-red with a thick creamy head. For an ale, it’s lageresque in aroma and taste. Not spicy at all, has a light red berry sweetness, and is relatively smooth in the palate.

Cask @ Abel Heywood, Manchester. Golden with a creamy head. Lightly malty, easy-drinking ale, not exciting, but not offensive session ale.
