Bottle - Roast, earthy yeast and some chocolate. Dirty deep dark brown with a small beige head. Earthy, metallic and very thin. Hard to believe this could be so bad.

2019-02-12, bottle at The Gull, North Vancouver, 7-3-7-3-15=35
Cloudy golden colour. Brett aroma, also a bit earthy, and possibly some glue. The acidity is prominent, some Brett character, nice astringency, a bit vinous.
I can't shake off the feeling that this started as infected product, and then they tried to save it, but it's enjoyable.

2017-10-26, tasting at Matt's, 5-3-5-2-9=24
Cloudy amber color. Mild red wine aroma, some nail polish. Flavor of glue, wine barrel, butter, and no IPA.
Bad.

650mL bottle, pours a hazy dark amber orange with a small beige head. Nose has no hops left, with plenty of brett funk and red wine barrel tannins. Flavour is fairly funky and tannic, with brett, tannins, and light wood. No hops left - one wonder why you'd barrel aged an IPA for 1-year - never understood the point. What's left is a rather obscured, confusing light funky and tannic ale. Decent.

Can@ Factory Brewing. Chewy, big chewy, bitter sweet hop, ok I mean it's clean.

473 ml can. Pours a dark amber with moderate head. Aromas of pineapples and mashed tropical fruit with a little toasted malts. Flavors of pineapples, sweet toffee, dried fruit, resin and biscuity malts. Grassy finish.

Hazy and blonde with a thin, frothy head. Nose is floral, some herbal hop, but also sticky pale malts and plastic phenols...when Belgian yeast isn’t on form you get this. Peppery on the palate, yeasty, with more alcohol than you’d expect. Has a dry, herbal hop note, and the malts are nowhere near as sticky as the nose hinted. Still a bit lacking in refinement, especially being a 5.5% beer with noticeable alcohol, but ok.

Tall can at Alex’s. Pours a hazy pale amber with a white head. Aroma is caramely and candied citruses. Similar taste. Meh.
