500ml bottle. My first beer from a Lancashire brewer. Pours dark gold, thin head, some retention. Aroma of malt biscuit, flora. Taste is biscuit malts, orange citrus, stewed tea, a grassy lager note. Moderate bitterness in the finish with a citrus noted tea. Light to moderate body and average carbonation. Another pleasant mediocre blond ale.

Many thanks to Nathalie for the bottle! Pours clear dark golden with a lasting, small, foamy, white head. Aroma of ripe mandarin, lime, yellow grapefruit, yeast, toasted white bread, shallot. Taste has sweet mandarin & apple, bitter grapefruit peel, some pine, zesty sour touch on a yeasty & bready malty base. Dry, earthy hoppy finish, lots of citrus & yeast. Medium body, oily texture, fizzy carbonation. Good but a bit too easy-drinking.

Historical tick which I am adding as a rate so that I can see the impact it has on my stats. 500 Beers To Try Before You Die. Purchased in Oulu, Finland, and drunk in the sauna. My pale lager drinking uncle was unimpressed. I was more pleased with it.

Bottle from ASDA Honey and lemon vand hops in the nose of this one. Pours a clear golden yellow with a vigorous but transient white head. Some orange sweetness on the tongue briefly, before hoppy bitterness kicks in and swamps out everything else. By contrast the finish is sweet and biscuity. IT’s OK, but a bit of a mess really.
