5/3/2026. Cask at wetherspoon’s beer festival. At the Bell Hotel, Norwich. This was served straight from cask. Pours fine. Aroma is chocolate, coffee, toffee, roasted malt, vanilla, liquorice and bourbon hints. Medium sweet, moderate bitterness. Drying finish, with vanilla latte notes. Decent body. Liked it.

Bradford CAMRA Beer Festival 2026, Beer#28. The softest tasting texture so far at the festival. It has wheat beer qualities about it, despite not being one, some white chocolate taste, mild fruit, seems at odds with some of its own beer notes, but excellent regardless.

There's some satisfaction from this very regular brew - A clear light golden session ale. Light in most characteristics too, although hoppy in the main. It feels like it's on the verge of being watery, but its session texture is full enough.

In a week of political lies unmasked this beer does not lie, it's full of chocolate in both aroma and taste, and it lingers. A reddish dark-brown colour, it has an easy-drinking texture too.
