Hand pulled half pint at the York Tap on 20th May 2026. Dark bodied, beige roof. Malty with only a slight hint of coconut in the nose and taste. Expected more, but it was fine, went well with my Stilton and Pork Pie.

Deadication beer to French pianist Marcelle de Manziarly, died on this drinking day in 1989. This Piano Man is mildly hazed golden-blonde coloured ale. A hoppy session with quite a smooth texture, there's some fruity promise in aroma that doesn't seem to transfer into flavour.

My final Friday night beer was a plum porter, my first Saturday morning beer is a plum porter, which begs the question...do I have a plum porter drinking problem? No problem with this soft and easy textured brew. The plum is good in both aroma and taste as it is not too sweet. Hazy brown appearance.
