Description
We are a micro brewery based in Lockwood, Huddersfield, West Yorkshire and we also now have our own TapHouse, The Corner in Huddersfield's Market Walk
We brew high quality cask conditioned real ales, bottle conditioned beers and limited quantities of Key Keg.
Over the years, we have gained a reputation for producing crisp, clean flavoured hoppy ales. Our speciality is single hopped variety ales. We are regularly trying new hop varieties and blending different hops to create new flavours. We always stock a variety of single hopped beers, as well as semi-regulars and new one-off brews which enable us the explore different hop and malt combinations.

Cask at The Rusty Bucket, Eltham. Coffee, raisin, cola & dark chocolate aromas. Rich flavoursome mix of the above. Malty sweet aftertaste. Very nice indeed.

Mallinsons 2000th brew, which means I'm bugged to realise I've had less than 10% of these. It's a pretty good one for the celebration too, especially as it's hard to make golden style ales good or bad - they're all quite close for me in design. It is in its crispness with a favourable dryness in flavour in this instance, with light tropical notes.

Handpull cask at the Prince of Wales, Cambridge Street, Birmingham. Light gold, clear as a bell with an uneven and slightly loose white head. Aroma gives earthy malt, light sweet citrus, melon notes. Sweet taste, an almost savoury yeast flavour swept away by the hoppy citrus. Finish threatens to get too bitter then backs off a little. Gentle body, soft carbonation. A lovely offering from Mallinsons.

Wigan Beer Festival 2026, Beer#18. Quite a bland example of a new-age commercially-driven name for a hop. A crisp hoppy beer in the main, low on flavour.

Wigan Beer Festival 2026, Beer#15. Hazy pale yellow-gold in appearance, would probably have a head away from this festival, but not here. Hoppy with a balanced tropical fruitiness in the mix in both aroma and taste.
