We are a micro brewery based in Lockwood, Huddersfield, West Yorkshire and we also now have our own TapHouse, The Corner in Huddersfield's Market Walk
We brew high quality cask conditioned real ales, bottle conditioned beers and limited quantities of Key Keg.
Over the years, we have gained a reputation for producing crisp, clean flavoured hoppy ales. Our speciality is single hopped variety ales. We are regularly trying new hop varieties and blending different hops to create new flavours. We always stock a variety of single hopped beers, as well as semi-regulars and new one-off brews which enable us the explore different hop and malt combinations.

Wriggle Room was all the first explorer had of the visited last Saturday White Scar Caves, for me it had been since excavated. This Wiggle Room is golden in colour, quite an easy strength, hoppy in design with a fair bitterness to proceedings. A frothy head here, it's not blessed with huge amounts of flavour, but there's enough, especially if a bitterness is something you enjoy in your ale.

Clean gold with a sharp white head. Aroma of bread and lemon. Flavour is white bread, citrus bitter, dry fruity back. Cask in Bankers Cat Leeds.

Bottle. Barrel and Anvil. Been ages since a Mallinsons beer. Pale gold with a light haze. Slim messy sticky white foam. Nose has lemon hand soap. Not a deal else really. Taste is a little dry and moderately bitter. Light bitter finish. Now I remember why it’s been so long since I had a Mallinsons beer. Shite.

Cask at the Duke of St Albans, Highgate on 20th July 2026. Intense sepia brown with shallow pale tan foam and spot lacing. Rich coffee and chocolate roastiness in aroma. Coffee and earthy roast malts in-mouth with a suggestion of smoke. A satisfying roasty finish. Light bodied with a smooth mouthfeel. A very flavourful mild.

Hand-pulled half-pint in the Station Hotel, Oakengates on 9th July 2026. Light golden body wispy white head. Floral, fruity nose and taste, bit watery.

Cask at The Rusty Bucket, Eltham. Coffee, raisin, cola & dark chocolate aromas. Rich flavoursome mix of the above. Malty sweet aftertaste. Very nice indeed.

Mallinsons 2000th brew, which means I'm bugged to realise I've had less than 10% of these. It's a pretty good one for the celebration too, especially as it's hard to make golden style ales good or bad - they're all quite close for me in design. It is in its crispness with a favourable dryness in flavour in this instance, with light tropical notes.
