Description
A lot has changed since the first drop of Carlsberg was shipped to the UK in 1868, and the first Marston's beer brewed in Wolverhampton in 1875 - but our founders' dedication to bringing people together through better beer burns as brightly as ever.

Carlsberg Marston’s Brewing Company is one of the newest, historic brewers in the UK. Formed out of a joint venture between Carlsberg UK and Marston’s PLC, who are both shareholders, we combine over 300 years of shared values, history and heritage in UK brewing.

Pours goldenwith a nice head (but not very stable), light aromas of fruit, sweetish taste, light hops and yeast, not unpleasant - overall a nice lager, but taste could be stronger

Keg at the Bat and Ball, Holmer Green, 15/01/22. Clear golden, carbonation evident, good sized lasting white crown. Nose is pale malts, cereals, grains, paper. Taste comprises pale malts, toasted grains, light citrus, cereals, grass. Medium bodied, light spritzy carbonation, semi drying close. Refreshing macro affair ... fine for the show genre.

440ml can. Pours clear gold with white head. Aroma: sweet-ish malts, grains, hay. Taste: light to moderate sweet & light bitter, light hops and lager yeast. Medium body with soft carbonation. There are many mass produced macro lagers that taste worse than this one

330ml bottle from B&M bargains that has been sat in the fridge for nearly a year. Solid gold body, nothing on top. Nose is stewed corn, taste is syrupy and booze heavy. One for sitting in the park with once my life takes a massive downward turn.

*Rating overgezet 2017* Het is een helder goudgeel bier met een medium witte schuimkraag. Het heeft een moutige wat grassige geur. De smaak is moutig, licht hoppig en wat zoetig.

500ml can @ 8% from local store. Eye - darkish gold, foamy white head, nice retention. Aroma - alcohol, malts, sweet glucose syrup, some grain. Combined it almost smells like chemicals used for cleaning. Taste - semi-sweet, glucose syrup, malts, alcohol, slightly fruit hop - wow was not expecting that! Its not too bad at fridge temperature. Palate - full bodied with the glucose syrup to the point of being heavy and sticky. Overall - poor but I've had worse

500ml can from corner shop, now at 7.5%. I've ran out of good beers to try, and I'm not driving in the snow. Eye - dark gold, creamy looking white head, fast carbonation. Looks the part but still dreading this. Nose - malts, vegetable extract; standard poor lager aroma. Taste - glucose syrup, malts, metal, semi-sweet. Palate - smooth but a little heavy going down which might be the glucose syrup. Overall - I was expecting worse. I didn't actually mind it despite it being artificial. That may not be a good sign.
