Keg @ Jack In The Box, Manchester. Very mildly hazy golden brew. It has a light lageresque ale character, a light sweetness for it, and is fine if this is your style or combination.

Cask @ Smithfield Market Tavern, Manchester. Black with a small off-white head. Coffee is abundant in both aroma and taste but its strength is fairly apparent too, albeit subdued to an extent by its smooth texture. --- Beer merged from original tick of (collab with) Kees Stroopwafel on 12 Jul 2019 at 20:09 - Score: Appearance - 6 | Aroma - 6 | Flavor - 6 | Texture - 6 | Overall - 6. Original review text: Keg @ Cafe Beermoth, Manchester. Very dark with a creamy, slightly off-white head. Has underlying dry roasted malts with a sweetness to it, proving to be a good mix.

Keg @ Jack In The Box, Manchester. Blonde with a head. Hoppy brew, very dry tasting as you might expect from a brut. Some fruitiness.

Keg @ Jack In The Box, Manchester. Clear golden with a small head. Sweeter tasting IPA, with this masking its strength well too.

Cask at Brewery Tap, Chester. Pours a dark chestnut with a small foamy cream head. In the nose there are roast malts and a hint of vanilla. Malts still to the fore in the mouth along with liquorice, some dark fruits and traces of toffee. A little hoppiness can be detected after a while. Itโ€™s OK โ€“ nothing to write home about.

Cask at Brewery Tap, Chester. Pours a very dark reddish-brown with a small cream head. Thereโ€™s roasted malts in the aroma, plus a hint of chocolate. In the mouth malts again are to the fore, together with liquorice, a few hops, and some chocolate and caramel lurking underneath. Some bitterness comes through at the finish. Quite a reasonable stout.
