Cask at Cross Keys, Handsworth, Sheffield. Hazy, golden colour. Thin, sticky, white head. Very biscuity. Slightly floral. Taste is sweet, initially, then a little, spicy dry. Leads to a dry, quite grassy, bitter finish. Ok, but for me, a bit too sweet.

Cask @ The Works, Sowerby Bridge. Golden with a thick creamy head. Bitter in character with a medium bitterness. It has a light floral sweetness in its nose.

Cask-conditioned at the Kingsdown Wine Vaults, Bristol, 31/5/2014. Golden in colour, with a tight, white, head. Aroma of hay, leafy hops, hedgerow fruits and sweet malts. Flavour was very sweet, like Landlord can sometimes be, with cereal malts, some more fruits and a decent, bitter finish. Looks good, but nothing special to drink.

Bottle at KØ14. Lagery aroma. Clear dark copper colour. Small frothy white head. The flavour has a dry hoppy note, a little chalk. Soy finish.

Aroma of quite pungent spicy hops, soft citrus, soft sweet pale malts
Taste of bitter spicy hops, bit peppery, marmalade malts, soft yeast, dab of citrus zest, cereal, caramel malts, quite complex
Palate - soft carb, medium body, bitter sweet marmalade malts, strong spicy hop that tingles throughout the mouth. Finish of lingering bitter spicy hops, earthy, zest, cereal, pleasant linger.
Overall - Surprised that the bottled version is lower than the cask, usually it’s the other way around. Had a bottle of this years ago before I was rating and wasn’t that impressed. This was very good and had that characteristic pungent spicy hop on the palate. I’ll certainly be picking this up again when I’m next in SuperValu

Flaske 0,5l fra Kilpishalli. Koseøl i heimen. Gyldenbrun. Høyt tett skum som varer lenge. Litt lacing. God - litt søt - fruktaroma. Aprikos. Smaken det samme med innslag av mandler. Litt tørr ettersmak.

Pint at the Turks Head, Heinghton, Lincoln. Poured a clear amber colour with a thick off-white. Aroma has a slight sweet citrus, with faintly of hops. Tasted again of citrus, orange and with a mild bitter finish. Light body. A smooth eefreshing drink.

Appearance- very clear, amber, orangey, small foamy white head. Aroma- juicy fruit hints, malty yeast, toffee, hint of bread. Taste- smooth, malts, bit of lingering bitterness, medium to full mouthfeel, hint of lemony citrus, caramel and toffee, bit of toasted bread. Really nice bitter.
