Half-pint shared with Finn. A deep amber body under a beige head, rings of lace down the glass. Promising aromas of dried fruits. Nicely blended taste with moments of mild caramel malts, biscuit and ripe fruits. Rounded ending, bittersweet. Pretty good. (London, 11.02.2025).

Pale golden blonde topped with a lasting off white head, good lacing ensues.
Nose is straw, grains, crackers, modest citric nip.
Taste comprises pale malts, breads, lemon rind, citric tinged straw.
Medium bodied, soft carbonation, drying close splashed with mellow bitterness.
Okay cask pale.

Almost clear orange to light amber topped with a lasting off white head.
Nose is earthy fruits, biscuit, light breads, orange peel.
Taste comprises crackers, grains, herb, orange zest, hedgerow.
Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close with a light bitter edge.

Cask at the Falcon (JDW), Wycombe. Gold with a white head. Lemon and grapefruit with a growing floral note that does maybe get a little soapy at times. Tasty if a tad thin.

[Cask at the Back of Beyond (JDW), Reading.] A bright pale amber pour with a dense cream coloured head; grainy aroma with a touch of citrus; sour grainy taste with some lemon and a dry finish with fresh lemon. A dreary golden ale.

Cask at The Briar Rose, Birmingham. Misted gold with off-white head, good lacing. Tropical and pine noted aroma. Flavour has a bready malt and light fruit but a horrible herbal and buttery astringent bitter finish. Not that nice at all.

Cask at the barrel Vaults. A clear orange golden coloured pour with a loose off white head. Aroma is semi sweet, nutty malts, hedgerow hop, grass vague pine. Flavour is composed of semi sweet, nutty malts, grass, liquorice, dirty pine, bark, light floral notes. Palate is semi sweet, mellow carbonation lingering floral notes. Not bad.
