On tap at Pizza Lucé downtown. Pours a clear copper with a tan head that dissipates slowly to the edges and laces. Aroma has a decent amount of grain and hay supported by a nice smoke note. Flavor has more of a pine and grain combination with a growing smoke presence.

On tap at Republic Seven Corners. Pours a hazy earthy orange with a tan head that lasts throughout the beer and laces. Aroma has an interesting combination of grass, light citrus and smoke with a bit of earthy pine and grain backing. Flavor mainly has an earthy smoke with a growing pine and grapefruit note plus and decent amount of grain backing.

Minnesota Trip Beer #155. Keg at the brewery, 5/11/16. Dark brown, large creamy tan head, good retention. Aroma of bourbon, chocolate, smoke, dark fruit. The taste is chocolate, roasted malt, vanilla, bourbon, mild smoke. Medium-full bodied, well balanced, lingering roastiness.

Minnesota Trip Beer #154. Keg at the brewery, 5/11/16. Dark brown, large creamy tan head, good retention. Aroma of chocolate, roasted malts and smoke. The taste is mesquite, smoke, chocolate, roasted malts, mild spruce. Medium bodied.

Minnesota Trip Beer #153. Keg at the brewery, 5/11/16. Dark orange-brown, thin creamy tan head, good retention. Aroma of smoked meat, roasted malt, bourbon, oats, chocolate. The taste is chocolate, smoke, bourbon, vanilla, roasted malt, dark fruits. Full bodied. Nice.

Minnesota Trip Beer #151. Keg at the brewery, 5/11/16. Hazy orange, large foamy white head, good retention. Aroma of smoke, citrus, pale malt, wood. The taste is smoke, pale malt, citrus. Medium bodied, lingering smokiness.

Sampled from the tap at Happy Gnome. Pours a clear deep orange gold with a tan head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma has a sweet smoke with sweet grains and a bit of pork backing. Flavor has sweet smoke with applewood and some sweet grains underlying.

Growler at Darkness Day. Pours a dark brown with small tan head that diminishes quickly. The aroma is roast, dark chocolate, oak. Medium body, sweet roast, dark chocolate, light dry finish, good.

Draft. Clove, lactic banana/orange, wheat malt, and straw aroma. Hazy amber with moderate head. Moderately sweet milky orange/banana wheat malt, and mildly bitter clove/hay flavor. Good body. Decent.
