Darker brown body, semi-clear, little foam. Soft burnt barley aroma. Flavour is wet roasted brown sugar. Full enough on the mouth. This is just bad, nothing about the style comes through.

Dark copper body and okay foam, soft caramel aroma and nothing else. Flavour is sweet round grain. Tinny, full, simple, drinkable at least.

Medium hop aroma and metallc looing clear gold body with little head. Flavour is sharp hops and minimal maltiness. Full enough but just lacking. Straight ahead but at least mediocre.

Clear grassy yellow body and okay foam, very faint hops on the nose but barely noticeable. Flavour is more grassy hops, soft grain and a cloying alcohol finish. A very working class approach to beer - you are just trying to drink enough to forget what it tastes like.

Clear gold body, mellow foam. No real aroma. Flavour is middling dry grain. Bready, crisp, simple, probably works for some but it's pretty boring.

On tap at Longwood Brewpub, pours a clear copper with a small off-white head. Aroma brings out English bready malt and a touch of caramel. Flavour is somewhat tart, with caramel and bready malt. Too tart and just on point.

On tap at Longwood Brewpub, pours a clear copper with a beige head. Aroma brings out toasted grains and some straw. Flavour is dry and rather neutral overall, with toasted grains and straw. Not much depth, no real grassy bite. Lacking.

On tap at Longwood Brewpub, pours a clear copper with a small white head. Aroma reveals some strange peaty notes upfront that dominate. Flavour is sour, with peaty smoke, and nasty sour fruits. Something is infected here. Bad.
