On tap at Southern Filling Station. Clear, dark copper, with a medium, dense, beige head. Nose is burnt caramel, rye, piney hops, and some chalk. Very sweet, with a touch of bitterness and light spice. Medium body, syrupy, and grainy. A little harsh. Overall, this a nice, mellow, spicy rye beer.

Poured from a can. Aroma is fairly malty with some cracker and toasted bread but also quite a bit of caramel and a touch of honey. Some grapefruit and other citrus with lighter tropical fruit notes. Light pine resin. Pours a bright, hazy, golden orange with a bit of a copper hue and a small, white head that recedes to the edges where it lingers. Flavor has a light sweetness with some toasted bread and crackers. Medium light caramel upfront, but mostly cracker malt notes in the finish. Moderately strong bitterness. Moderate grapefruit and citrus with medium light tropical fruit. Medium light hop resin and light pine. Hints of honey. Mouthfeel is medium to medium full bodied with medium carbonation. Low astringency and low alcohol warmth. Overall, an alright IPA but way too malty for my tastes. Malt profile had too much caramel. Hop profile, though it works with the malt, is a bit too grapefruit and pine and not enough tropical fruit and other citrus.
