Cask at the Henley Rewind festival. Quite impressed a music festival had 6 cask ales on; sadly they were being served in cardboard cups. Copper coloured with a white head. Malty, orange, straw and lemon. Dryish finish. I would call this a bitter rather than a golden ale, but whatever it is it's quite full-flavoured with a malt-led profile. Not bad actually.

Can from local Home Bargains shop – drank at home. Pours a golden yellow with a lively but transient white head. Sweet malts and lemongrass in the nose. In the mouth it’s very much a beer of two halves ! Sometimes I get sweet floral hoppy freshness, At other times it is sharp, and metallic – macro lager style. Seems pot luck as to which I get. Jury is out on this one. Rather highly carbonated as well.
