Poured from a can into a becher pint

Pours the deepest brown black with about a half finger of tight medium tan head that hangs around leaving slick lacing.

Aroma of roasted malt moving into caramel and coffee melding into a sweeter Hershey's special dark chocolate, a touch of dark fruity water hiding in the background.

Taste opens up with for mentioned caramel/molasses into smooth coffee, big notes of the semi sweet dark chocolate, rich and complex flavors with a bit of char that lends a bit of drying bitterness. Rather complex

Medium full bodied, light carbonation, roast and char balance any sweet character nicely. Super smooth and creamy with a mouth watering finish.

Overall this is a wicked good porter. Rich, smooth and complex while retaining its drinkability. Rides the line between a sipper and sessionable brew. I'd gladly reach for this anytime I'm looking for a smooth porter.

8oz pour in O'sheas taproom after departing the Metrolink (station over the road) from Oceanside on 25th March 2026. Hazed orange body, snow white crown on top. Pineapple and grapefruit nose and taste, other citrus fruits join in and give dankness, a slight sweetness and a mini bitter finish. Nice!

On draft into a tulip glass

Pours an opaque light straw yellow to gold with a small white head that settles to leave some light lace

Aroma of cantaloupe and honeydew, pineapple, pine and some wintergreen mint.

Taste follows with the melon taking center stage, leads into under ripe pineapple some pine with a little bitterness finding a home. No real minty taste.

Medium body with medium light carbonation, makes this one a smooth sipper, light bitterness balances any sweetness making you reach for your next sip.

Overall a nice double IPA, I'd be interested in trying a can and see if the mintiness is found. Paired well with taco Tuesday.
