$3.99 bomber from Total Wine, Gainesville. Pours hazy brownish-red with a small beige head. Aroma of dark fruit, grass, caramel. Flavor is caramel, black cherry, grass, more caramel, light butterscotch, light envelope glue. Not bad.

Bottle from Total Wine, Tampa. Pours a cloudy golden orange with a thin off white head. Aroma of sweet fruit, notably of peach and banana. Moderate sweetness. Quite high carbonation. Finish of malt and banana.

Dark amber color, dull, nearly light brown, cloudy, with medium sized compact head. Too much caramel for this beer and for this year, at least the sweetness is very mild; strong hopping, very resiny; but the flavor is dominated by herbaceous hops, hay, and in the final by pithy, chicory bitterness. I question also the quality of the malts, getting a strong dusty and stale feeling here. Light cheese in the aroma.
A double IPA from the past, both because it doesn’t seem fresh and because the concept is outdated.
My feeling: kinda of a waste of precious hops.

Dark with a bright head. Malty and sweet with slight booze and fruit in the aroma. Medium bodied. Boozy heat, fermented/overly ripe fruit, malty, some chocolate. Decent.

Powerfully malty DIPA. Earthy with some rough citrus in the back. Some resin accompanied by caramel sweetness. Strong bitter finish. Harsh but good.

355ml bottle. Clear golden amber colour, dense off white head. Aroma: hoppy, slight funky, fruit, orange. Taste: bitter hoppy, fruity, citrus, orange, grapefruit. Average carbonation, medium body, bitter finish.

355ml bottle. Clear amber colour with a small beige head. Aroma: fruity hops and biscuity malt, caramel. Taste: initially quite sweet but it mellows over time, nutty biscuity malt, fruity hops. Low bitterness, low carbonation, medium body. Meh. My favourite thing about this beer is the artwork on the label.

Pours darker, slight amber in the colour I guess. Aroma displays some earth and herbal hops. This is not your sweet tropical IPA but more like earthy and harsh. Balance is still well developed, so when drinking it, you get a bit of biscuits, malt dust and yes, still some hop fruitiness. Drinks surprisingly easy, definitely feels lower abc than it actually has. Great double IPA, totally satisfying.
